FRANCE / Crowd-funding Campaign for “Une maison au bord du monde”
Productions du Lagon in association with ClapOsud have launched a participatory funding campaign for Pascal Cesaro’s documentary project “UNE MAISON AU BORD DU MONDE” on the Ulule crowd-funding site. It will close on July 13th 2016.
Founded twenty years ago in Gardanne, La Maison is a unique centre, specializing in end-of-life support.
Its first mission was to welcome the patients and their families in a friendly environment, fostering care in this very particular, mysterious area – the end of life, our common future.
This humanist initiative came from carers, doctors, psychologists, nurses, orderlies, cooks, volunteers, who faced with the unacceptable then worked together to think up and design a respectful way to take care of the individual in each of us.
This film is about them, as they all head towards retirement and reflect upon the struggles, joys, sorrows – and now satisfaction of seeing others take their place to face future challenges.
Today, La Maison is at a turning point in its history with the creation of the Villa Izoï, which will take people in for long stay.
Over 50% of the finance has been found, but “it’s not finished yet and we hope you will help us by talking about this campaign. Your participation is essential for the completion of the project!”
