A call for projects is open for a 5-episode mini-series, with each episode running just 2 minutes : the “ 5 x 2 ” competition, organized by the GREC (Groupe de recherches et d’essais cinematographiques) and the Cinémathèque de Grenoble in partnership with France Télévisions. Fifteen projects will be selected, then a jury will decide which film-makers it wants to audition. On Saturday July 4th those chosen will be go to Grenoble to pitch their project. The three winning projects will be announced later the same day during the closing ceremony of the Grenoble Outdoor Short Film Festival.
The creators of the three winning projects will be invited to a workshop on film-making and directing actors which will take place from September 28th to October 2nd 2020 at the Grenoble Cinémathèque. The project awarded first prize will receive a production grant and be guaranteed several broadcasts :
– On television on France 2’s programme Histoires Courtes
– At the 2021 Grenoble Outdoor Short Film Festival
– Online : on the GREC and Cinémathèque websites and on the Histoires Courtes Facebook page
To qualify, the project must be the candidate’s first or second short film, and it must be shot in the French département of Isère. All the conditions for registration can be found here.
