The Egyptian streaming platform, Watch IT, has announced a new international series inspired by a true story is in production. The title has not yet been revealed.
This marks the first time Watch IT has ventured into producing an international series under its own banner.
Filmed in Egypt, the series is directed, produced and co-written by Leslie Greif, an American director and producer known for his work at NBC and for producing the series The Offer at Paramount. He is joined by scriptwriters Daniel Stiepleman, Graham Sack, and Jonathan Wakeham.
For international distribution Watch IT has partnered with HBO. The Egyptian company retains the broadcasting rights for its territory and the entire North Africa and Middle East region.
