In collaboration with the Italian production company IMAGO, the Italian Embassy in Cyprus organized an Italian Film Festival in Nicosia and Limasol from September 19th to 25th. The event was made possible by a special grant from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of a bilateral agreement with Cyprus.
The event opened with Ciro Formisano’s “Exodus” with the director and actress Daniela Poggi both present. The celebrated director Vittorio Taviani, who died earlier this year, received special attention with a screening of “Una questione privata”, co-directed with his brother, Paolo.
The screenings were accompanied by video interviews with directors, and audiences voted for their preferred film.
