The Balkan Documentary Centre has extended its call for applications for a training programme, BDC Discoveries. You have until March 10th to submit your projects.
BDC Discoveries is a training initiative for professionals who are either from the Balkans or working on a Balkan-related topic and looking for a regional co-producer. Supported by Creative Europe Media, the programme is for documentary projects in development which have international potential and a cross-media angle. Seven teams will be selected, each composed of a producer plus a scriptwriter or director.
Created in 2011, the Balkan Documentary Centre provides support for documentaries from the Balkans or about the region. It also offers other programmes, including Balkans Watchers, which empowers journalistic projects from regions where freedom of expression is restricted, and Docu Rough Cut, offering support for documentary projects at the editing stage.
