Carole Filiu Mouhali and Ferhat Mouhali have launched a crowd funding campaign to finance the post-production of their new documentary.

“Ne nous racontez plus d’histoires!” (Don’t tell us any more lies) is about the way the Algerian War of Independence (1954-62) is remembered and taught on either side of the Mediterranean. The film-makers look at both official versions: the one told in France and the one told in Algeria, and analyse the consequences of memorial policies on the youth of both countries.
Filmed in Algeria in during the autumn of 2015 and then in France the following spring, the film is now awaiting post-production (editing, grading, music and subtitling), for release in December. The two directors, who have worked on the project for 3 years, hope to raise 4,000 euros with this Ulule campaign.
