The 13th Festival International du Film Oriental de Genève (FIFOG) ran from April 21st to 29th. During the event the organisers devoted a day to the Tunisian embassy’s cultural activity in Switzerland. This was marked by the screening-discussion of two Tunisian films in the FIFOG competition: Elyes Baccar’s “Tunis By Night”, in the presence of its producer Mohamed Ali Ben Jomaa, and “Benzine” in the presence of its director, Sarra Abidi.
Tunisian ambassador Mourad Bourehla stressed the importance of the Tunisia–FIFOG partnership. He said it helps to encourage Tunisian national film production and establish the country as a cultural destination.
