Several times a year IDM gives financial support to films. Seven projects were selected during the first evaluation process of 2020, among them four from the Mediterranean area.

Three of these will receive finance for production :
Non mi uccidere by Andrea De Sica: the director returns to Haut-Adige where he made his first film (I Fifli Della Notte, 2016). Produced by Vivo Film, this 2nd feature is a love story set in a world of fantasy-horror.
Dieci giorni con Babbo Natale by Alessandro Genovesi. A Christmas comedy, produced by Colorado Film with the main roles already cast: Fabio De Luigi, Valentina Lodovini and Diego Abatantuono.
– The Deep House by Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury, co-produced with Radar Films, a French company. Filming will take place in the village of Curon, where Netflix made a film last November.

The fourth Mediterranean project selected, an Italian-German film, Gasbarra, will receive pre-production finance. Produced by Bolzano Mediaart Production Coop and directed by Martin Hanni, this documentary will look at the life of Félix Gasbarra – writer, playwright and pioneer of radio documentary.

Any company wanting to submit a request for funding should do so between May 5th and September 22nd 2020.
