Zero is the new Italian-made series from Netflix. Platform subscribers will be able to follow the story of a shy boy who has the power of invisibility. Presented as a modern hero, Omar lives in a suburb of Milan from which he longs to escape. The series shows Milan in a very different, unique way. The directors want to take the viewer into the rich and varied world of under-represented cultures – in particular rap. Filming began in the last days of June.
The leading roles are taken by young Italian actors: Giuseppe Dave Seke, Haroun Fall and Beatrice Grannò. The series is produced by Fabula Pictures in collaboration with Red Joint Film. It will be directed by Italian film-makers Paola Rando, Ivan Silvestrini, Margherita Ferri and Italian-Egyptian film-maker Mohamed Hossameldin.
All nine episodes of the series will be available at the start of 2021 in every country covered by Netflix.
