GREECE UNITED STATES / For the 12th consecutive year the Los Angeles Greek Film Festival honours Greek films

The 12th LAGFF (Los Angeles Greek Film Festival) took place from June 4th to 10th presenting Greek films and their directors. There were three categories of awards: drama, documentary and short films. Dora Masclavanou won the award for Best Feature with “Poly Xeni”, Lefteris Charitos’ “Dolphin Man, in the footsteps of Jacques Mayol” won Best Documentary Award, the Best Short Film Award went to “Goldfish” by Yorgos Angelopoulos and the Jury Award went to Tassos Boulmetis for “1968”.

The festival gives films from one part of the Mediterranean an international showcase, with many Greek directors being present to discuss with the audience after the screenings.
