EGYPT FRANCE / The CMCA collaborates on Bokra Sawa’s new project

The Bokra Sawa association is offering a multimedia workshop for young people from Marseilles and its surrounding areas. The workshop will build on the use of new media and digital tools to document the role of women in the public space and thus train participants in street journalism.

The project began in January in Alexandria with seven young Egyptian adults and will continue throughout March in Marseilles with a team of ten young people. It is organised by Bokra Sawa, in partnership with El Madina, and has the support of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Regional Council. It was created in collaboration with the CMCA, CRIJ and Casa Consolat.

Following the workshops the two groups from the two cities will meet up, and there will also be a travelling exhibition coming to Marseilles on March 31st 2017 at the CRIJ (Centre Régional Information Jeunesse), and to the French Institute in Alexandria in May and then again in Marseilles in July.
