The public gives its award – Screenings and discussions – The Awards Ceremony
Two post-screening discussions were held during this year’s PriMed, both focussed on Thomas Dandois and François-Xavier Trégan’s Daesh, Paroles de déserteurs. On November 24th at the Alcazar and on the 25th at the Villa Méditerranée. More than 600 high school students were present.
On November 24th, after the screening, the audience asked questions of the co-director François-Xavier Trégan, and Alain Ruffion, director of Unismed, which works on extremist violence, inter-cultural mediation and promoting the values of the French Republic.
The next day, a screening of the same film was followed by a discussion led by Nora Boubetra, a France 3 journalist and presenter. François-Xavier Trégan, Alain Ruffion were again present, alongside Antoine Sfeir, journalist and political scientist, Middle East and Arab States expert, Soufiane El Hamdi, Unismed project officer, and Caroline Pozmentier-Sportich, vice-chair of the PACA Region for Crime Prevention and Security.
