TURKEY / Serdar Karagoz joins Turkish public television

Serdar Karagoz

On October 15th Ibrahim Eren,  General Manager of Turkey’s state-run broadcaster TRT, appointed Serdar Karagoz as editor-in-chief of the International News Channels – TRT World and TRT Arabic. This appointment is part of a restructuring of Turkish public television.

Serdar Karagoz is a Political Science graduate of Istanbul’s Bilgi University. He also has a master’s degree in Human Rights Law from the same university and a master’s degree in media studies from the New School University in New York. He joined the Turkuvaz Médias group as United Nations correspondent, later running the foreign news desk at the Turkish newspaper Sabah. In 2014 he founded the Daily Sabah, published in English, German, Arabic and Russian.
