Moufida Fedhila’s “Aya” is having a brilliant career in festivals. So far this year the film has won the Tanit d’Or at Carthage, the audience prize at the Noisy-le-sec festival of Franco-Arab film, the jury prize at the “Cinéma du monde” festival in Paris and the Gold FIFOG in Geneva.
It has now been selected for 6 other international festivals, from South Africa to Ukraine via the United States and Sweden: the Durban International Film Festival, the Malmo Arab Film Festival, the Molodist Kyiv International Film Festival and the Cinetopia Film Festival. In France it has also been selected for the Contis festival and the festival-résistances in Foix.
The director’s previous film “Hors-Je” was also selected for more than 30 festivals and received numerous awards.
