Spain / Animayo 2020, the first virtual animatedfilm festival

Animayo is a Spanish animation festival usually held in the Canaries. Its 15th edition took place online on May 9th and 10th,making it the first virtual animation festival.

The first part of the festival was in early May with discussions and round tables. The continuation is planned for May 16th and 17th with master classes led by various animation professionals. The subjects will be: “The art of animation: How to make your animated characters real” with Christian Dan Bejarano and then “Painting with light: The art of light” with Edu Martín.

Then on May 22nd and 23rd you will be able to see the films officially selected, with the winners announced on May 29th. Finally towards the end of the year there will be a programme of physical screenings.
