JORDAN / The 6th Med Film Factory

The sixth Med Film Factory, a specialised training programme for Arab producers and directors, was completed on October 27th. The event is organized by Jordan’s Royal Film Commission, a public institution created in 2003, whose role is to help the country’s audiovisual industry develop, particularly by promoting it abroad.

Five teams, each with five members (Jordanian, Libyan, Egyptian, Iraqi and Palestinian) participated in this year’s Med Film Factory. The ten-day programme, which included work on scripts and production strategy, was an opportunity to advance the participants’ creative and professional skills. Teams which successfully completed their programme were invited to participate in regional and international film markets – an excellent way to get noticed.
