CROATIA / Launch of the first History Film Festival

 

The first “History Film Festival” will take place in Rijeka, Croatia, from September 6th to 9th 2017. It aims to show the public and film professionals how historical documentaries can give insights into contemporary cinema. It will also be an opportunity for professionals to discuss their future projects with others.

There will be several prizes in the competitive section: the Grand Prix, Best Independent Documentary, Best Television Documentary, Best Director, Best Scenario, Best Photography, Best Editing, Best Music, Best Production, an Audience Award.

The film-makers present at the festival will run workshops for students at the University of Rejika and for interested members of the public.

The deadline for applications is April 18th. Films of any length and production year are accepted.
