More than 2,500 high school students took part in the “image education” offered by the CMCA as part of PriMed 2016.
Among them, a thousand took part in the 4th MPM Averroes Junior Prize, organized by the CMCA in collaboration with Des Livres Comme Des Idées. This initiative allowed young people from the PACA region, Corsica, Algeria, Egypt, Italy and Switzerland to watch with their teachers three films from the PriMed selection:
AUBE DOREE, UNE AFFAIRE PERSONNELLE by Angélique Kourounis
FEDERICA MONTSENY, L’INDOMPTABLE by Jean-Michel Rodrigo
LORO DI NAPOLI by Pierfrancesco Li Donni
The high school students all arrived during the PriMed week and spent two very special half-days, November 22nd and 24th, at the Villa Méditerranée, discussing each of the documentaries and voting for the one they thought best.
Then on November 25th 200 high school students attended a master-class, during which they could ask questions to the makers of the three films they had seen in class.
Thirdly, some of them attended the Awards Ceremony, at which they announced the winner of their MPM Averroès Junior Award: Angélique Kourounis’ Aube Dorée, Une affaire personnelle.
