In July 2017 Tunisia was the first southern Mediterranean country to join the Creative Europe Programme. Then, in early February 2018, the Tunisia Desk was officially launched in Tunis by the head of the local European delegation, Patrice Bergamini, and the Minister of Cultural Affairs, Mohamed Zine El Abidine.
