Medimed, the Euro-Mediterranean documentary market, has launched a project call for its 20th edition, to be held from October 10th to 13th in Sitges, Catalonia.
One of the most important meeting places for Euro-Mediterranean documentary co-production, Medimed facilitates exchanges between television professionals and independent producers, allowing them to promote their recent productions or upcoming projects.
The European and Mediterranean programmes and projects sent in will be assessed by an international jury and, if selected, presented to more than 70 international television commissioning editors.
Two types of programme are eligible:
– Documentaries of any kind, made either in 2018 or 2019, originating from a European or Mediterranean country.
– Projects under development which have already obtained an agreement with a broadcaster / co-producer and/or have 25% of the budget guaranteed.
Registration is free, and is open until June 30th.
Medimed is organised by APIMED (Association de Producteurs Indépendants de la Méditerranée), with the support of Creative Europe – MEDIA.
