SPAIN / Creation of a competition “Zaragoza en Corto” to stimulate film-making in the region

The Zaragoza municipal council has launched a short film competition “Zaragoza en Corto”. Films must be less than 30 minutes long and feature the region’s capital, Zaragoza. The aim is to promote the town and encourage its inhabitants to make films. The films can be of different genres: documentary, drama, experimental etc.

The competition is open to everyone living in Zaragoza, professional or amateur. There will be a specific category for schools and another for short films about the region in general. A jury of broadcasting experts have several awards to distribute, from 300 to 2,000 euros.
