SPAIN / 4th Filmadrid

From June 7th to 16th Madrid hosted its 4th film festival. The alternative programming allows local audiences to see creative and experimental films rarely shown in cinemas.

Several Mediterranean films were screened: Gürcan Keltek’s documentary “Meteors” (Turkey / Netherlands), Eric Beaudelaire’s “Also known as Jihadi” (France), the Franco-Italian co-production “They Still Burn” by Felice D ‘Agostino and Arturo Lavorato, and Diana Toucedo’s “Trinta Lumes” (Spain).

There was a special focus on the work of Italian director Tonino de Bernardi, with the first screenings in Spain of “Medée Miracle”, “Iphigenia in Aulis” and “Appassionate”. Israeli director Raquel Chalfi was also in the spotlight, and Khalik Allah (USA).
