SERBIA / Film Centre Serbia allocates more than €500,000 for film production by means of a financing competition

Film Centre Serbia announced the winners of its competition for film funding, allocating amounts from €8,471 to €101,634 to nearly 15 films and projects, mainly co-productions, divided into 6 categories.

Cristian Puiu’s Serbo / Romanian co-production “Manor House” received the largest sum. Sharunas Bartas’ Lithuanian / French / Serbian co-production “In the Dusk” also received more than €100,000. A Serbo / Bulgarian co-production, Stephan Komandarev’s “Patrol Cars” won funding of nearly €60,000.

Several first features will also receive finance: Jure Pavlovic’s “Awakenings” (Croatia / Serbia), Ivan Salatic’s “You have the night” (Montenegro / Serbia), Ivan Bakrač’s “After the winter” (Montenegro / Serbia) and Stefan Malešević’s “Mamonga” (Serbia / Bosnia / Herzegovina).

Two documentaries were also given finance: “Avenge” (Slovenia / Serbia) by Marija Zidar and “Nun of Your Business” (Croatia / Serbia) by Ivana Marinic.

Finally 4 short films, including 3 animated, were given finance.
