JORDAN / 24th Franco-Arab Film Festival

The 24th Franco-Arab Film Festival was held from June 24th to July 1st in Amman. 11 films from the Middle East (Iraq, Jordan, Palestine) and North Africa (Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia) were screened, as well as some French films. This year the themes were migration, justice and freedom.

The festival is organized by the Institut français in Jordan, whose director, Stephane Delaporte emphasized the importance of this year’s themes. He also stressed that “this festival embodies the strength of bilateral relations between France and the Arab world. We are proud to present films co-produced between Arab countries and France”.
In addition to free screenings of feature films, a special short film evening was organized on June 25th. There were also lectures and masterclasses on the film industry given by guests and directors.
