ITALY SPAIN / Lasciarsi un giorno a Roma, an Italian-Spanish co-production

Actor, director and script-writer Edoardo Leo is the first Italian director to start shooting a new movie once the lock-down ended. On July 7th the crew started filming Lasciarsi un giorno a Roma in Rome. Edoardo Leo is both director and principal actor, playing the title-character Lasciarsi.

An Italian-Spanish co-production, the film is produced by Italian International Film in collaboration with Vision Distribution and the Spanish company Neo Art Producciones. The cast also involves both countries, with Spanish actress Marta Nieto.

Edoardo Leo said: “This is very particular time for everyone, especially for the film business, so to start everything going again with a major international co-production is a commitment, but also, I hope, a good omen for Italian cinema.

Lasciarsi un giorno a Roma is a romantic comedy exploring the complexity of separation after many years of living together. Its cinema release is scheduled for 2021.
