ITALY FRANCE / The TorinoFilmLab and Annecy Italian Film Festival launch Alpi Film Lab

The TorinoFilmLab and the Annecy Festival of Italian Film launch Alpi Film Lab to strengthen film industry links between France and Italy. Two courses will be offered: to professionals and to French and Italian students.

Timetable for professionals:

AlpiFilmLab will help develop eight feature film projects with potential for cross-border co-production (dramas, documentaries and animated films). International experts will guide 24 upcoming professionals (12 French and 12 Italians) and their finalised projects will be presented at the Turin Film Industry event at the end of the year. The deadline for submitting applications is March 1st 2021.

The calender of training workshops:

3 online sessions between April and November 2021:

  • Annecy end of April,
  • Turin in June,
  • Annecy end of September,

Plus a final session in Turin at the end of November

Producers with a project for a feature-length film (drama, documentary, animation) can apply for this course, as can producers without a project but who want to develop their skills. The training will be in Italian and French. 

Timetable for students:

Between 2021 and 2022 the Alpi Film Lab wants to give 8,000 Italian and French students an insight into the cross-border film industry. On the programme: screenings, masterclasses and meetings with directors and film-sector professionals.
