FRANCE / Some new faces on the CMCA’s Board of Directors

CMCA Board

The CMCA Board of Directors met on September 9th. With Jérôme Cathala of France Télévisions and Maria Du Bessé of Rai, Chair and Vice-Chair of the CMCA, both moving on to other responsibilities in their respective companies, the Board was obliged to vote new members to fill these two key positions. Three candidates were proposed:

Eric Scherer, Director of Innovation and International Relations at France Télévisions, as Chair of the CMCA
Michela Panella Zennaro, RAI International Relations, as Vice-Chair of CMCA
Quite separately Nabil Bouhajra, Middle East Director of TV5 Monde, presented his candidacy for the post of Deputy Secretary General of the CMCA, which was also vacant.

The three members were elected unanimously.

The CMCA Board is now:

Eric Scherer of France Télévisions – Chair

Michela Panella Zennaro of RAI TV and Hakim Amara of EPTV (Algeria) – Vice-Chair

Wifak Lahlou of 2M (Morocco) – General Secretary

Nabil Bouhajra of TV5Monde – Deputy General Secretary

Jacques Hubinet of Les Films du Soleil – Treasurer
