FRANCE / MK2 provides a festival at home

Every day during the confinement imposed in France the production company MK2 and the cinema magazine TROISCOULEURS will put several films online for free. The idea: to let each home create its own festival.

Every Wednesday, the day films are traditionally released in France, the company will put online a selection of “hidden treasures, rarities and strange films, essential elements of the history of world cinema”. The theme of the first week’s releases was “borders”: Agnès Varda’s Plaisir d’amour en Iran (1976), Mohsen Makhmalbaf’s Gabbeh (1996), Un temps pour l’ivresse des cheveaux by Bahman Ghobadi (2000) and Un été inoubliable by Lucian Pintilie (1994).
MK2 calls them “Curiosities” and they can be found here.

Meanwhile the editorial staff of TROISCOULEURS offers a daily selection of the best in culture: podcasts, short films and archives. Each heading is updated daily.
