The festival offers a programme of international short and feature-length films (documentary, drama, experimental, video art, animation), covering various areas of science. The film-makers and researchers are present at the screenings and available for discussions afterwards.

There is a competitive section with a jury award (for short and medium-length films), a young audience prize, a high school student prize, and for the second year an award for the Best Doctoral and Post-Doctoral Film in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.

The deadline for entries was June 1st 2017. The competition is open to films about scientific issues (basic sciences, life sciences, medicine, environment, economics and politics, architecture, town planning, sociology, anthropology, ethnology, history of science and technology, etc.). Only films produced on or after January 1st 2016 are eligible.
