FRANCE / Awards at Clermont Ferrand’s short-film festival

The Clermont Ferrand short film festival was held from February 2^nd to 10^th. It broke attendance records with more than 165,000 spectators.

In the national category, the Turkish director Ayce Kartal won the grand jury prize with his animated short “Kötü kiz” (Naughty Girl), a Franco-Turkish co-production. Other Mediterranean co-productions also won awards, for example Pedro Collantes’ Franco-Spanish short “Ato san nen”, set in Japan, which received the special jury prize in the national category.

On February 18^th the award-winning films were screened in Paris at the Forum des Images.
