The Clermont Ferrand short film festival was held from February 2nd to 10th. It broke attendance records with more than 165,000 spectators.

In the national category, the Turkish director Ayce Kartal won the grand jury prize with his animated short “Kötü kiz” (Naughty Girl), a Franco-Turkish co-production. Other Mediterranean co-productions also won awards, for example Pedro Collantes’ Franco-Spanish short “Ato san nen”, set in Japan, which received the special jury prize in the national category.

On February 18th the award-winning films were screened in Paris at the Forum des Images.
