More than half the projects selected are from the Mediterranean:

The chosen directors and producers will be invited to meet co-producers, broadcasters and financiers during the 28th FID (July 11th to 17th).

FIDLab spans two days, July 13th and 14th: the first day is spent presenting projects to industry professionals while the second is given over to individual interviews.

At the end of the two days, 7 grants in kind – loan of cameras or cutting rooms, artist’s residencies, subtitling etc – will be awarded to the creators of the most convincing projects.

More than 325 applications from 56 countries have been received this year to participate in FIDLab. Of the 91 projects selected in the previous 8 sessions, 53 have completed production.
