BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA / Filming starts for a film about the siege of Sarajevo

Sympathy for the Devil”, a film produced by Amra Baksic Camo and based on the writings of French journalist Paul Marchand, about both the siege of Sarajevo in 1992/1993 and more broadly the war in Bosnia Herzegovina, will start shooting in February. Film production in the country is problematic since the state provides no financial support, unlike neighbouring Balkan countries such as Montenegro. The producer deplores the fact no Bosnian feature film was made in 2017 and thinks the country has a lot to offer the cinema, especially with its landscapes and history.
